Lots of parts of trees can start to rot. The most common part of a tree to start rotting is the crotch. Once the crotch starts to rot then the branch is now weakened. Half the tree will fall over since the fibers are weakened and cant hold up the big branches.

The middle of the tree will start rotting too, the tree basically rots from the inside out. This Kills the trees very quickly and its very dangerous since the outer 2 inches of the tree is all you need to have the top part of the tree live. The base of the tree will eventually get so thin that it will fall over and crush everything.

the final common way that trees rot in when squirrels and other little critters invade, Squirrels will find a rotten hole and live in it and scratch around and make it alot worse. If a raccoon gets into a hole of a tree its waste products will pile up so much in the rotten spot that it will rot the tree and kill it. even if a squirrel chews on a branch it will rot from the bark being ripped off of it. trees are good things but when they start to rot it messes alot of stuff up.

Oh man! There are so many different types of trees out there! But, not all trees can fit in certain places. Like you wouldn't want to plant a huge white oak tree right next to your driveway. The roots would go under the drive way and completely mess it up. To be on the safe side, never ever plant a tree next to a drive way or a house.

Also, planting any sort of tree next to a fence is a bad idea. If you do that the tree will end up grpwing into the fence and casuing alot of problems. pine trees seem to be the best thing to have as privacy if you dont want to put up a fence. these trees make it hard to see threw and it also looks pretty nice.

If you have a wet yard and you want to soak it up then you should pl;ant a willow tree or a cotton wood tree in the area. they suck up a lot of water as they grow so this will help dry the land up. these trees need a lot of room as well so dont put them near and pipe lines or near your house.

the best tree to plant in your yard would have to be a nice silver maple tree. they grow to be big and beautiful. you can manage them very easily and they will last forever if properly taken care off. the maple tree also is strong so it wont break and smash your house. the roots of this tree arent really invasive \.

Why Do Trees Die?

There are many reason why a might tree would die. The main reason why they die is root damage. If you damage the roots then the tree wont properly get nutrients and water into the tree. If that happens the tree will die. Also, if the roots are damaged then the tree becomes weak and more likely to fall over. that's never a good thing when you have a 100 foot oak tree falling through your living room.
 

Also a tree will die do to stress. If a road or a drive way gets put in to close to a tree it will basically kill itself. The tree know that it wont last long and just like ends its life because of stress. Also if the season is really dry or really wet it will stress the tree out causing it to die. If you nail too many nails into a tree then that too will cause stress and kill the poor little tree.

If your tree dies its important to get it properly taken down. If you attempt to take it down yourself then nothing good will happen from that. Just get a tree guy to come in a give you a good price. Dead trees are nothing to be messed with and are even dangerous for the person cutting it down. so many things can happen while cutting down a dead tree that could harm the climber. Just like if a branch breaks while your in  a tree because its so dead then you are done for.

There are a lot of different tools used in the tree business. Most importantly are the different types of chainsaws. Many tree guys argue that stihls are better than husquvarna. In my opinion stihls are ten times better. I think that because they are a heck of a lot easier to work on and are so much more powerful. Stihl makes one of the best climbing saws around too. the ms201T has so much power and is a great in tree saw.

Another great climbing product is the weaver sattle. its Much more comfortable than any other sattle. they are form fitting and dont kill your nuts like all the other sattles out there. Plus it is fairly priced and very reliable. I've only used that kind for my years of climbing and it has failed me yet. Even my dad who has been climbing for 30 plus years only used weaver sattles.

the next and most important thing in the climbing world is rope. having the right kind of rope will make or break you. If you have a cheap flimsy rope then you are basically done for. You need a good reliable rope with good tensile strength and that is longer than the tree that you are climbing. The best rope to use is the new England brand rope. the best rope they make is the Hi-vee orange rope. It can be used for everything. You cant ope down big branches with it and also its great for climbing with. There is nothing you cant do with that rope. Its also cheap and very light weight.



The $th and final thing to make your climbing experience great is a good pair of tree spikes. The best tree spikes on the market are the geckos. They are so light weight that it doesnt even feel like you have anything on your feet while climbing. These spikes are a tree guys best friend. As lon as the spikes in the wood, you arent going to fall out. Every tree guy around should have these spikes.
